For easy installation, the units arrive pre-assembled, with four float switches included for comprehensive protection. Two floats are dedicated to the primary pump, while the other two are assigned to the backup pump.
The combination system also features unique monitoring capabilities that alert the homeowner to various scenarios. These include power outages, low battery fluid levels, backup pump activation, and issues with the battery, such as discharge, defects, or terminal cleaning needs. The PS-C33 pump controller can even send an alarm signal to a home security system or auto dialer, providing an additional layer of notification.
The system includes a 1/3 HP PSC motor primary pump, a backup pump, a backup system controller/charger with a fluid sensor, and a primary pump controller (DFC1) with a caged dual float switch. Additionally, the assembly features two check valves, a 1-1/2 rubber union, a sump foot (raised platform for both pumps), and a battery fill bottle (battery not included).
The primary pump offers a flow rate of 3000 GPH at a 10-foot head, with a maximum head of 31 feet. The backup pump, on the other hand, can deliver 2400 GPH. When the AC power fails, the system automatically switches to the battery-powered backup pump, ensuring continuous operation and protection against water accumulation.
