The MySpool WATER Detector is a smart device that sends out an alert when water is detected by its sensor. The alert can be delivered via email, text message, or both, and the device can also send push notifications. Alerts are repeated every few minutes until the sensor is dry.
The device is configured to use your WiFi network, and the setup process takes a few minutes using a smartphone or laptop. Once the device is set up, you'll need to specify your email address and phone number on the myspool.com device configuration page. This secure user area on the website also allows you to configure settings such as text message content and hours of operation.
When the setup is complete, any time water is detected, you'll receive an email notification. If configured, you'll also get a text message and a push notification. The MySpool Water Detector has been successfully tested at over 400 feet from the WiFi router and through some walls.
The MySpool Central Monitoring Service for this device is included free of charge. This service runs on our cloud servers, and in case the WATER Detector misses a scheduled daily check-in, the device owner will be notified via email that there is an issue. A follow-up notification will be sent when the device comes back online.
Currently, MySpool products are supported in the US and Canada only.

The MySpool Water Detector comes with an extra-long 6 ft power cord and a hardened sensor with a 5 ft wire. The high-quality moisture sensor has a nickel-plated surface for corrosion resistance and is designed for multi-use, allowing you to wipe it dry and use it again.
By placing the MySpool Water Detector in areas with the potential for flooding or leaks, you can avoid costly repairs and stay ahead of any water-related issues.
